Toronto International Dance Festival 2017 unites the colors of dance in all their vividness, radiance and uniqueness.

On 7th October, 2017 at Lyric Theatre – Toronto Center for the Arts (5040 Yonge St, North York, ON M2N 6R8 ) Dancing Damsels Inc. brought together more than 20 International dance companies showcasing their dance styles all on one stage at the 4th Annual Toronto International Dance Festival (TiDf 2017)

This is the International dance festival’s 4th year running from the house of Dancing Damsels Inc., whose goal is to promote cultural integration by showcasing various International dance forms demonstrating their rich cultural heritage; which helps foster a bonding among Toronto’s diverse communities from around the world.   READ MORE

IWD Women Achiever Awards 2018:
Kehkashan Basu "Rising Star”of the Year

Dancing Damsels Inc. announced today their IWD Women Achiever Awards for 2018 and Kehkashan Basu chosen as the “Rising Star” of the Year.
Winner of the 2016 International Children’s Peace Prize, 17 year old youth leader, Kehkashan Basu, has been impacting the global fraternity with her work on promoting gender equality, mitigating climate change and social upliftment.

Workshops for New Immigrants)
Another successful event from the house of Dancing Damsels.! Workshops were organized on Legal Aids, Cyber Security, Career Guidance, Healthy Life and Settlement. And there were interactive sessions with successful immigrants too.

IWD Celebrations and Award Gala on 3rd March, 2018 at City Hall, Toronto

Toronto: Dancing Damsels Inc., an incorporated non-profit multicultural association that promotes arts and Women Empowerment; is set ready to celebrate International Women’s Day 2018 with vivid programs. This resplendent event called the IWD Women Achiever Awards Gala, will be held on Saturday 3rd March, 2018 @ 2pm at Toronto City Hall, Toronto.  (100 Queen St W, Toronto, ON M5H 2N2).

This year, the theme of the celebrations is “PRESS FOR PROGRESS“.

Each year Dancing Damsels honor outstanding women with IWD Women Achiever award to appreciate their success in their field of work. This year’s IWD Women Achiever Award recipients are:

John Tory (Mayor of Toronto), Hon.Kirsty Duncan, (Minister of Science and Minister of Sport and Persons with Disabilities), Hon.Dipika Damerla, MPP ( Minister of Seniors Affairs), Iqra Khalid Member of Parliament for Mississauga—Erin Mills; 

Chris Fonseca (City Councillor, Mississauga)  are the invited Guests of honor to grace the occasion along with other VIPs and dignitaries.

Teresa Hunt is the one of the Key Note Speakers of the event. She is a paralegal (To Your Defence Paralegal Services) with extensive knowledge of landlord – tenant issues and the President of Histiocytosis Association of Canada – the non profit organization for a rare disease.

Adding flavor to evening, there will be International Multicultural Variety Entertainments and Delicious food served are sure to tingle everyone’s taste buds at the event.
